Emily's Senior Session

For the second session of the day we had Emily over and ran her through the paces. She's such and outgoing and fun girl and the session matched up perfectly with her personality. We stretched the session out over a pretty good chunk of the day and shot everywhere from on my roof to in her dad's junk pile. Her sis'n'law, Audrey (you've seen her before), helped out all day long as "reflector girl" and made our day much easier. Thanks guys for such a fun day. We love how the images are turning out and we're sure you will as well.

The Boyd Family

For our first session today we had the pleasure of shooting for the Boyd family. Take a beautiful little young lady and her two twin sisters, through in their good looking parents and you have the start of some really special pictures. These little ones did such a great job and we were able to catch some really neat moments of this family together. Little Sydney was such a trooper and the twins were so happy. It made for a great start to our day. Here are a few from this morning.

Halley, Rachel, Karen and Judy

We got to do another 4 generation shot today. These 4 ladies came to the studio today and we had the honor of capturing them all together. Great Grandmother, Grandmother, Mother and Daughter....that's so cool. Anyway we also grabbed some shots of Halley by herself and of all the babies I've shot so far, she was the happiest. Smiles, smiles, smiles!!!! Not to slide from tradition, we shot until this happy baby showed the tired eyes and grumpy cries. Pain is beauty my dear ;) The images are great and I'm sure they will love them. Thanks again, ladies, we had fun.

Someone out there likes us!

I ran across this link Udsigt Photography today and I have to say it makes me feel pretty great. Peter, the guy who wrote it, has commented on our blog before and I'm pretty sure I've communicated via email with him before, though I can't seem to find the emails I'm thinking of. He also participates in a forum that I also do and I know he sees some really great work on a regular basis. So to receive a compliment like this means a lot. Any way, thanks Peter for the very kind words. I want you to know we really appreciate it. Any way I have to get out of the room I'm in right now my head is getting too big for it. :)

We had our 1 day workshop with John Michael Cooper today. I have to be honest to say that I didn't expect to learn much in a 1 day workshop. Holly hot wings Batman! I sure was wrong about that one. This workshop was absolutely amazing. The info that John and his wife Dalisa shared was priceless and I look forward to the next time I get to see them. The workshop was held in Athens, IL which is a lot like Oakland City, small, rural town. Our group got lots of looks especially when John was shooting the moc bridal with the UFO attack theme. As a bonus, Adrienne and I acted as models for the morning part of the workshop and had some great "engagement" pictures taken. We love them especially since our real engagement pics were marginally better than what you would get at Sears. We met some flat out bitchin' photogs from lands far and near and we will be keeping in touch with those folks. Here are a couple of quick shots I took during the day. Oh and that beautiful face on the monitors in the second pic....Yeah that's my smokin' hot wife.

Alyssa.

Ok here's the deal. It's 2:07 and I'm stoked 'cause Adrienne and I are going to learn from photo phenomenon John Michael Cooper of altf. So if I ramble a bit here, my apologies. Today we had an awesome, awesome shoot with Alyssa. Her senior pics are gonna be so freakin' awesome. As you can see she's a beautiful young woman with amazing eyes. We took her out to the Azalea Path and hit a few of the spots around that amazing place. Side note, Bev Knight and here husband have done an amazing job there and if you haven't had a chance to check it out stop waiting and pay them a visit (remember to leave a donation though :) ). Getting back to Alyssa. her session was a blast and we are getting together with her again for some really cool TTD shots stay tuned for those. Thanks Alyssa for a great time, we loved it. Anyway I need to get my butt to bed so with out further adieu....Alyssa.

The O'neal Family

We had the pleasure of photographing the O'neal family Friday evening. This is one fun group. These boys had a genuinely fun time as we ran them "through the paces." We had a few stops around town and ended the evening with some shots in the studio. Angie an Aaron thanks for coming by, we had fun and certainly hope you did as well.
