WHIZ, BOOM, POP, ZING, POOF!

The new website just went live. http://roweportraitstudios.com now takes you to the updated website. There will be some changes in the coming weeks with the site colors and backgrounds but the layout and functionality won't change. We're really excited about this and the new functionality it will bring to our clients. The ability to place orders directly from the proofing gallery will allow family members of our clients living all over to place orders of their favorite pictures directly with us insuring accuracy of the order.

We are currently working on new pricing and we hope to have that finalized in by next week. Our goal is to get our pricing as simple as possible. We still will have the Build Your Own Package option that our customers love so much but instead of having to figure multiple discounts we would like our customers to be able to easily figure their own costs. More to come on that soon.

Adrienne and I would like to thank all of our customers for making our first 1/2 year in business magnitudes more successful than we could have possibly ever imagined. Continue to join us as we embarq on what is looking to be an even more incredible year in 2008.

The new website is almost done!!!!

I have been putting some work in on the new website. It has been turned over from the designers to me and now I just have to put some finishing touches to it. You can check it out here
Keep in mind at this point it is not at all done and there will most definitely be some bugginess to it. I'm hoping to have it done by the end of the week if all goes as planned. At that time you will just go the the usual roweportratstudios.com address and you will find the new splash page with links to the new site and the blog. All of the old galleries for you existing customers will stay up for a few more months until their scheduled delete dates (3 months from your session date). Any galleries going forward will be password protected and you will be given a password on the day of your session. So take a look at the new design and let us know what you think in the comments section below. Peace,

Dan

Amanda's Senior Session

Well today we had the pleasure of shooting Amanda's senior session. We had a blast. Amanda was a little shy at first but once we got going things were A O K. This young lady is a true beauty. Usually right after a shoot I go through the images and pick my favorite 6 or 7 to post to the blog. I do this by narrowing down a field of 10 or 15 images. At first pass on Amanda's files, I had a field of 40 to choose from....That's how photogenic she is.

Congratulations are in order as Amanda an Matt, the young man seen below, are engaged. We sneaked in a few shots of the two together for a mini engagement session. Sorry Matt but I don't think many people are gonna notice you in those pictures....I kid, I kid. Enough said enjoy the small sampling below.

WOW! Voted Dan's favorite picture!!!

Comments....Please post'em if you got 'em

We have had a few people lately leave comments on the different post here. We love it. Please feel free to leave comments we love to hear from you all. All comments must be approved by me but that is only because of SPAM issues. If I don't require approval then the comments would be a bunch of posts about Viagra and such. We might look into that once our clients age a few years but until then I want to keep the blog about you all and your sessions.

Changes....me is excited!!!!!

We finally decided on a designer for our new website today. With a little luck the new site should be online in the next week or so. I decided to keep the blog here at Blogger for the foreseeable future. I have been very happy with the blog and it's integration with all other Google services comes in pretty handy. While I'm talking about it I thought I might pass along some interesting stats about our blog. Since our launch in September we have had visitors from 10 countries and 30 states. When I saw that it kind of blew my mind. Anyway, the new roweportraitstudios.com site will be really nice with backgrounds that change from page to page, password protected proofing galleries, and lots of other really cool features. The plan is to keep the existing galleries that we have out there for a couple of months then they will be deleted. I'll post an update when we have this thing ready for the masses. Until then....PEACE!

A busy Sunday Part 3 "1:00 PM"

Isabella is 1 year old. My niece Isabella, Izzy Lou in my book, came over for some yummy cake Sunday. I fired off 400 shots while she just completely mowed down that cake. I think she though my daughter Briley might be near and she didn't want to share any of her cake. (That would have been a cage match for the record books.) Please enjoy what I'm offering up as a preview.

A busy Sunday Part 2 "11:00 AM"

Hello again twins. My friend Brian and his wife Shannon brought there twins, Houston and Bailey over to the studio Sunday for their 2nd 6 month picture setting. (Long story on that one, I tried to add a few months to their lives last time we shot them.) Any who, these kids are always fun to shoot and are great in front of the camera. I should apologize to all Colts fans as I'm sure that Brian will blame me for the Colts playoff loss to the Chargers. You see the session lasted a little longer than planned and Brian was 15 minutes late getting home to watch the game (bad mojo). So go ahead angry Colts fans I'll take the blame on that one. Check out these session samples:

A busy Sunday Part 1 "9:00 AM"

We were honored that Audrey allowed us to do her maternity portraits. Audrey works with Adrienne at the Ultimate Look and she is due any day now. We had fun getting these shots and I have to thank Chad, the proud Papa, for being such a good sport. I think these images show the mood of the soon to be family in a truly wonderful fashion. Enjoy this small sample of the images we captured that morning. Thanks again Audrey and Chad....Good luck. Oh and get a few good nights sleep while you can.
